Hence is the custom of invoking Muses such as Calliope (epic), Thalia (comedy), Melpomene (tragedy), Euterpe (lyric) and Erato (love poetry). Forgetting a bitter reality for a while to levitate in an unreal blissful state is possible while reading literature. Writing

It is the representation of language in a textual medium through the use of a set of symbols known as writing. In both Ancient Egypt and Mesoamerica writing may have evolved through calendars and political necessity for recording historical and environmental events. There are differences between public speaking and poetry reading in which the former is governed by the rules of rhetoric and later by poetics. A person who composes a story or message in the form of text is generally known as a writer or an author. The particular nature of the texts decides the designations of the writers as poet, essayist, novelist, playwright, journalist and more. A translator is a specialized multilingual writer.

Writing is a distinctly human activity. Such writing has been speculatively designated as coincidental. The cave paintings and petroglyphs of prehistoric peoples can be considered precursors of writing, but are not considered writing because they did not represent language directly. Cuneiform script is one of the earliest known systems of writing. Oracle bone script refers to incised ancient Chinese characters found on oracle bones, which were animal bones in Bronze Age. Egyptians used cursive hieroglyphs for religious literature on Papyrus and wood. The original Sumerian script was adopted for the writing of the Hurrian, Luwian and urartian languages. The term Indus script is mainly applied to that used in the mature Harappan phase after 3500 BC.

Writer is a person who uses words to communicate ideas. The writing that writers produce may be in any genre, fictional or non-fictional. Writers work professionally or non-professionally. Literary art such as novels, short stories, poetry, plays, screen plays, or essays are among the results of a writer’s work. Types of writer are biographer, blogger, columnist, copy writer, critic and diarist. Writers use a pseudonym known as a pen name or nom de plume. George Eliot, an English novelist, was Mary Anne Evans. Her novels include ‘Adam Bede’, ‘Silas Marner’ and ‘Middle March’. Samuel Langhorne Clemens was better known by his pen name Mark Twain. His works are ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Hucklebery Finn. Oscar Fingal O’ Flaherite Wills Wilde was an Irish writer and poet. His masterpiece is ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’. Lord George Gordon Byron was an English poet. His narrative poems are Don Juan and Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage. Herbert George ‘H.G.’ Wells was an English writer, known for his work in the Science Fiction. The Invisible Man, The Time Machine and The War of the Worlds are his notable science fiction. Sir Ahmed Salman Rushdie is a British Indian novelist and essayist. His Midnight’s children won the Booker Prize. Emile Francois Zola was a French writer. Therege Requin was his first major novel.

Poetry

It is an art form predates literacy. In the past it was orally recited and sung. The development of writing has given the structured verse form for poetry. Iliad, Odyssey are the Greek epics. Ramayana and Mahabharata are the Indian sanscrit epics. Edmund Spencer’s The Faerie Queen is an extended hymn of praise to the queen and Philip Sidney’s Arcadia. The explorations of love are found in the Sonnets of William Shakespeare. William Wordsworth, Coleridge, Shelley and Keats belong to the Romantic movement in English poetry. Vikram Seth, Han Yu, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, Sheila E. Murphy, Lalitha Lenin, Lorna Goodison, Marie Evans, Jean Garrigue, Dr. Linar Alisha, Cyrus Cassels and Majeed Amjad are famous poets from India.

Planetary Combinations for Writers

A piece of writing – be it a poem or a short story involves with a dream of an individual. It is an emotional down pour. It takes the shape of a vessel in which it is being filled with.
